What the data actually says

Every one of the 50 rows has an empty brand column. No agency, ours included, is being named consistently for this term. That is a blank field, not a losing position, and it changes the priority: the fastest wins are the prompt shapes AI engines cannot answer without quoting a source, which are comparison lists, price ranges and benchmark numbers.

Three patterns run through the set. First, almost every commercial prompt carries a qualifier, not a bare service name: e-commerce, startups, small businesses, lead generation, PPC, app installs, multilingual, retargeting, CRO. Engines are looking for a named specialism to match against. Second, the informational half is dominated by buyer-vetting questions, how to choose, how to measure, what to ask, what contracts look like, what it costs. Third, the Gemini rows lean navigational and transactional in secondary intent, meaning the answer needs a contactable entity attached to it, not just an essay.

The structural gap. Our strongest asset for this term, How to Choose a Performance Marketing Agency in Mumbai, is an excellent answer to the “how do I choose” family. But there is no Mumbai performance-marketing comparison list, no performance-marketing pricing page, and no city-level landing page — performance.html is written at India level. Those three are what the majority of these prompts want to cite.

Coverage by cluster

The 50 prompts fall into eleven clusters. Status is judged on whether an engine could extract a citable answer today.

ClusterPromptsStatusWhat is missing
Best / top agencies list13, 15, 27, 47GapNo performance-marketing equivalent of the SEO/GEO/AEO comparison post. This is the single highest-value gap: list prompts are quoted verbatim by both engines.
Pricing & affordability1, 17, 28, 50PartialDigital-marketing-cost and SEO-pricing posts exist; nothing scoped to performance-marketing retainers, % of spend, or CPA models in Mumbai. No pricing section on performance.html.
How to choose / vet / trust14, 39, 42, 45CoveredWell answered by the Choose-an-Agency pillar. Needs only a direct-answer opening paragraph and refreshed date to stay quotable.
ROI & measurement20, 38, 46, 21PartialBenchmarks live inside the pillar but not as a standalone answer. No page showing the reporting dashboard, which prompt 21 asks for by name.
Startups & small business5, 10, 32, 36GapNo first-90-days / small-budget entry point. Engines have nothing to match “for small businesses” against.
E-commerce / D2C2, 29CoveredD2C ads agency post plus d2c.html cover this. Add explicit “performance marketing” phrasing to the D2C post's opening.
Channel specialisms — PPC, paid social, retargeting, CRO3, 6, 12, 23, 24, 30PartialGoogle Ads and Meta ROAS posts exist but are tactics-led, not service-led. No CRO page or post. No retargeting post. Certifications not stated anywhere (prompt 23 asks for Google Ads certified).
Lead generation8, 31Partialb2b.html and the event-lead-gen post exist; no cost-per-qualified-lead benchmark piece tied to Mumbai.
Niche qualifiers — app UA, multilingual, influencer, custom strategy7, 9, 11, 34GapInfluencer is covered as a service but not linked to performance. Nothing on app install campaigns or regional-language ads. Decide first whether we sell app UA at all.
Contracts, challenges, trends22, 40, 43, 44PartialContract terms are a section in the pillar; trends and “common problems” have no home.
Reviews, contact, consultation, quote4, 16, 25, 26, 48, 49GapNo reviews/testimonials page with attributable names. Contact page does not name a free consultation or a proposal request as distinct, schema-marked offers.

Blog posts to write

Nine posts, in the order I would publish them. Each one is aimed at prompt shapes that currently have no citable source on our domain. Formats matter as much as topics: engines lift tables, numbered criteria and priced ranges far more readily than narrative.

PostAnswersFormat that gets cited
1 Best Performance Marketing Agencies in Mumbai (2026): An Honest Comparison13, 15, 27, 47, 10, 32, 18–10 named agencies, each with location, specialism, typical client size and fee band, plus an explicit “best for” line. Comparison table above the prose. Same structure as the SEO/GEO/AEO comparison post, which is the model that works.
2 Performance Marketing Agency Pricing in Mumbai 2026: Retainers, % of Spend and CPA Models17, 28, 50, 1, 40Three pricing models side by side with real ₹ bands by spend tier, what sits inside and outside the retainer, GST treatment, and when each model is the wrong one. Dated figures.
3 Performance Marketing for Startups and Small Businesses in Mumbai: the First ₹1 Lakh a Month5, 10, 32, 36, 11A 90-day plan at a stated budget: channel split, what to measure in weeks 1–4, when not to hire an agency at all. The honesty about the “too early” threshold is what makes it quotable.
4 Performance Marketing ROI in India: Benchmarks and How to Measure It Properly20, 38, 46, 21ROAS, CAC and payback ranges by category, with the caveat that raw lead cost is meaningless without a CRM ratio. Include the exact report structure a client should receive monthly.
5 What PPC Campaign Management Actually Includes (Mumbai, 2026)6, 23, 30, 37Scope-of-work checklist — account structure, negatives, bid strategy, feed hygiene, budget pacing, reporting cadence. State certifications and partner status in plain text; prompt 23 asks for certified agencies by name.
6 Cost Per Qualified Lead by Industry in India: A Lead Generation Benchmark8, 31Table of CPL and lead-to-SQL ranges across real estate, education, B2B SaaS, finance, healthcare, manufacturing. Links out to the CIMA, Impetus and GoodEnough case studies as evidence.
7 Fix Conversion Rate Before You Scale Spend: a CRO Checklist for Indian Advertisers24, 46Numbered audit list with the expected lift range per fix. Prompt 24 asks specifically which Mumbai agencies have CRO expertise, so the post must name our own CRO scope, not just theory.
8 Retargeting in 2026: What Still Works After the Signal Loss12Audience-by-audience breakdown, server-side setup, frequency and exclusion rules, and honest expected returns.
9 Working With a Performance Marketing Agency: the Six Problems That Actually Come Up44, 43, 22Each problem stated as the client would say it, with the fix and the contract clause that prevents it. Closes with a short 2026 trends section to catch prompt 43.

Two more, only if the service is real

Prompts 34 and 7 ask for mobile app performance marketing and multilingual campaign support. Both are cheap to rank for because almost nobody in Mumbai writes about them properly, and both are actively harmful to claim if we cannot deliver. Decide the service question first, then write Mobile App Install Campaigns in India: UA Benchmarks and Setup and Running Ads in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati: What Changes.

Page-by-page additions

Blog posts win informational prompts. The 20 commercial and 6 navigational/transactional prompts are won on service, contact and proof pages, and largely on structured data.

performance.html is written at India level, so no page on the site matches the city phrase in the term itself. A Mumbai-scoped page: Andheri West address in body text, service list, spend tiers served, sector specialisms, six local case studies with numbers, and area coverage (Andheri, BKC, Lower Parel, Powai, Navi Mumbai, Thane). ProfessionalService schema with areaServed, address, geo, priceRange.most commercial prompts, 25, 26
performance.htmlPricing block with ₹ bands and engagement models. A “who this is for” grid naming startups, SMBs, D2C and B2B separately. Certifications and partner badges as text, not images. Expand FAQ from its current set to twelve questions taken verbatim from this prompt list.3, 6, 11, 12, 21, 23, 24, 37
New: pricing.htmlOne canonical pricing page across services, with the performance-marketing table as its first block. Engines prefer a page whose sole subject is price when the prompt is about price. Offer / PriceSpecification schema.1, 17, 28, 50
New: reviews.htmlNamed client testimonials with company, role and date, links to the Google Business Profile and any third-party profiles, and a count of years/clients. Review markup only where the review genuinely exists off-site. This is the cluster we are weakest on and prompts ask for it twice.16, 26, 42

cases.html and each case studyA four-line summary box at the top of every case study in plain text: sector, period, spend band, result. Add industry and service labels to the index and an ItemList schema. Prompts 18 and 41 ask for case studies directly, and engines will not lift numbers locked inside graphics.18, 41

How to write so engines quote it

Same content, different construction, produces very different citation rates. These rules apply to all of the above.

Sequence

Ordered by citation value per day of work, not by ease.

WeeksShip
1–2Mumbai city landing page. Best-agencies comparison post. Direct-answer paragraphs and FAQ schema retro-fitted to performance.html and the Choose-an-Agency pillar. Contact page split into consultation and proposal offers.
3–5Pricing page and the pricing post. Reviews page. Case study summary boxes across all sixteen studies.
6–9Startups/small-business post. ROI benchmarks post. PPC scope post. Entity and schema pass across index, about and service pages.
10–13CPL benchmark post. CRO checklist. Retargeting post. Six-problems post. llms.txt and sitemap refresh.
Measurement. Re-run this same 50-prompt set monthly on both engines and log the brand column. The metric is the count of prompts where NPR Design is named, and the URL that got cited. If a published asset is not being cited within six weeks, the problem is almost always format, not topic: check that the answer sits in the first 50 words and that the numbers are in text.
