Some performance marketing courses in India are run by agencies that manage ad budgets for clients. Others are run by education institutes whose main business is teaching. The two have different strengths, and knowing which kind you are buying helps you ask the right questions.
Agency-run courses are taught by people who manage live ad accounts, so the content tends to be current and the practice tends to be real: Digital Scholar, PMAcademy and the NPR Performance Marketing Accelerator are examples. Institute-run courses, such as IIDE, Kraftshala and Simplilearn, usually offer broader curricula, larger placement teams and more batch dates. Choose an agency-run course if hands-on campaign skill is your priority. Choose an institute if you want a wide digital marketing base or structured placement support.
| Factor | Agency-run | Institute-run |
|---|---|---|
| Trainers | Practitioners managing live accounts | Full-time faculty and guest practitioners |
| Currency of content | Updated as platforms change, because trainers use them daily | Updated on a curriculum cycle |
| Real accounts and campaigns | Common | Varies; often simulated or partial |
| Curriculum breadth | Narrower and deeper, focused on paid media and tracking | Broader, often full digital marketing |
| Batch size | Usually small | Often larger |
| Placement | Hiring links through agency and client network | Dedicated placement teams |
| Batch dates | Fewer | More frequent |
| Examples | Digital Scholar, PMAcademy, NPR | IIDE, Kraftshala, Simplilearn |

13 weeks, 78 live hours, batches of 12. Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and ABM, GA4 and GTM, and AI content generation and strategy, with two live campaigns and a portfolio. Led by Nitin Raghani. Next cohort mid-October 2026.
Ask for trainer names and the kind of accounts they run.
Ask how much, who pays, and who reviews the campaigns.
See the placement guide for what to verify.
A practical course should be able to show one.
Teaching from an agency means examples come from accounts we ran that week: a Meta campaign whose costs rose after a creative change, or a Google campaign optimising to the wrong conversion. That kind of example cannot be written into a curriculum a year in advance.
NPR Design is a performance marketing agency in Mumbai. The NPR Performance Marketing Accelerator is taught by founder Nitin Raghani, who has 18 years of marketing experience. The course is hybrid, with live online classes and one in-person session a month at the Mumbai office. Batches are capped at 12, tracking is taught inside every platform module, and each learner runs two live campaigns.
Agencies such as Digital Scholar and NPR Design run performance marketing training alongside client work, as do practitioner-led academies such as PMAcademy. Institutes such as IIDE, Kraftshala and Simplilearn run dedicated education programmes.
For hands-on campaign skills, agency-run courses often have the edge because trainers manage live accounts. For breadth, placement teams and frequent batches, institutes are usually stronger.
Some offer hiring links through their agency and client network rather than a formal placement cell. Ask for the terms in writing.
Not necessarily. Fees range from mid-range to high for both types. Compare the cost per live hour and whether real ad spend practice is included.
