Performance marketing courses with placement assistance: internships, career support and what to verify

NPR Design26 Sep 20265 min read

Placement claims are often the deciding factor between courses, and the hardest to verify. This guide explains what placement assistance usually includes, how it differs from a guarantee, and what to check before you pay.

Short answer

Placement assistance means career support such as CV and portfolio review, interview preparation, referrals and sometimes an internship. A placement guarantee is a promise of a job offer, and it usually comes with conditions on attendance, scores, location, role type or salary. Before paying, get the terms in writing, ask how placement figures are calculated, and ask to speak to recent learners. NPR offers no job guarantee; learners selected on their final evaluation get a one-month online agency experience.

This guide is part of our series on how to choose a performance marketing course in India. It answers one question in depth; the overview covers the full checklist.

What is the difference between placement assistance and a placement guarantee?

Common conditionsCompleting the courseAttendance, test scores, relocation, accepting the first offer

This guide evaluates a provider’s support. For the career path itself, read how to start a career in performance marketing. For the full comparison, see the course selection guide.

What internship terms should you check?

  • Duration and whether it is remote or in-office
  • Whether it is paid or unpaid
  • Whether you work on real client accounts or internal projects
  • How learners are selected, and how many are selected per batch
  • Who supervises you, and what you will be able to show afterwards
  • Whether you receive a letter or certificate of experience

What career support is worth having?

  • One-to-one career counselling on which path suits you
  • Portfolio review by someone who hires performance marketers
  • Mock interviews with realistic tasks, such as auditing an account, planning a LinkedIn ABM campaign or briefing AI-generated content
  • Preparation for Google, Meta and LinkedIn certifications
  • Introductions or referrals to agencies and brands

How do you check a course’s placement claims?

Placement percentages mean little without their definitions. Ask:

QuestionWhy it matters
Out of how many learners?“90% placed” may exclude those who did not opt in
Within what time period?Six months after the course is very different from two years
Which roles count? Some count any job, including unrelated roles
How is salary defined?Highest, average or median, and whether it is CTC
Can I speak to recent learners? The most direct check you can make
Can I verify on LinkedIn?Past learners’ current roles are often public

What are the red flags in placement promises?

  • A job guarantee with no written terms
  • Salary figures with no median or sample size
  • Pressure to pay before you have seen the syllabus or terms
  • “Placement partners” that cannot be named
  • Refund conditions that are only explained after payment
From our agency

As an employer, we pay little attention to which course a candidate attended. We look at the portfolio, the live campaign they ran and how they handle a practical task in the interview. A referral from a trainer we know helps get an interview. It does not replace being able to do the work, which is why we treat practical training, covered in our practical training guide, as the real career support.

What career support does the NPR course offer?

The NPR Performance Marketing Accelerator does not offer a job guarantee. Learners selected on their War Room evaluation get a one-month online agency experience at NPR Design, working with the team on live client campaigns; it is earned, not automatic. The syllabus covers Google, Meta and LinkedIn Ads, signal-based ABM, analytics, AI content generation and content strategy, agentic AI, and CRM and marketing automation. All learners finish with two live campaigns, a 12-piece portfolio and preparation for Google Ads, Meta Blueprint and LinkedIn certifications. A free 15-minute counselling call before enrolment tells you honestly whether the programme fits your goal.
